<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span><strong><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;">Sven  Mauleon</span></strong><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;"> was  born and raised in Sweden but spent most of his professional career abroad after  his M.B.A., civilekonom, in Sweden His first formative years in London, working  for the then leading international ICT company, Xerox. He spent much time as an  international management consultant in Western Europe, mainly Scandinavia,  France and Germany.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span><strong><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;">Sven Mauleon</span></strong><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;"> was one of the first  international consultants to be invited to work in Eastern Europe during the  historic transformation from communism to democracy and market economy. 1987- 89  he worked in Hungary where the iron curtain or rather barbed wire was first to  fall. In the early 1990s he worked in Poland heading an international and Polish  consultant team, invited by the new non communist Polish government, with a  mission to guide Polish enterprises from central planning to a market oriented  economy. Work included bringing potential entrepreneurs and Polish state  enterprise managers together in action learning based business management  training. Later in the 1990s he was commissioned by the UN, UNIDO, to head a  similar mission in Russia, Kaliningrad. He also worked in the Baltic republics  with similar missions. </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span><strong><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;">In the late 198os </span></strong><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;">and early  1990s he lectured at a pioneer and successful international Masters in Marketing  program at the Thammasath University, Bangkok, Thailand. He designed its first  strategy and international marketing courses. </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span><strong><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;">In the late  1990s</span></strong><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;"> he  worked in Brusselles, Belgium as head of a European consulting firm designing  and supporting cross European cooperation projects.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span><strong><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;">In 2001</span></strong><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;"> he set up a pioneer computer  training program in rural villages in Thailand and in 2002 he cofounded  OpenmindProjects together with a young Thai social entrepreneur from a village  in northeast Thailand, Thaweesilph Lunchaiyapha, inviting international  volunteers to participate in an increasing number of education and eco projects  in Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Nepal.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span><strong><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;">OpenmindProjects</span></strong><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;"> has been recognized by UNESCO,  recommended by CNN, Lonely Planet, and a finalist in the Stockholm Challenge  Award for outstanding ICT for development projects.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span><strong><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;">Sven Mauleon</span></strong><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;"> has authored and co authored  numerous articles on management, education, eco tourism, development and  environmental protection. </span></span></p>
